Nurture Ministries

Nurture ministries focus largely on the internal needs of the congregation and prepare the people of the church for ministry outside the congregation within the context of their community and world.
 
Focus Areas are:
  Education and Spiritual Formation Opportunities and Classes
  Membership Care
  Community Building (small groups and fellowship)

Education and Spiritual Formation includes:
  (All are Welcome. For information: contact the church office 414-354-4477)
  Kids on a Mission (Sunday School): 9:30 AM, meets most Sundays during school year
  Vacation Bible School: 
  3rd Grade Bibles
  Confirmation Class: Every other week beginning 10/13 @ 6:00pm
  (Tuesday Night) Gathering Around the Scripture (focus: Lectionary or Specific Book Bible Study)  
  Wednesday Early Morning Adult Bible Study (focus: Lectionary and Upper Room) On-Going, Drop-In Anytime, Wednesdays at 7:00 AM
  Thursday Morning Companions (Seasonal, Book Study)
  Women's Retreat (Spring)
  Men's Retreat  October 11-12, 2019.
  Lenten Devotionals
  Spiritual Formation Resources (available in parlor)
  Disciple Class
 
Membership Care includes:
  Prayer Chain
  Home Bound Care & Visitation
  God Squad (hospitality for funerals)
  Birthday Cards for Children/Youth
  College Care Packages
 
 
Community Building Includes:
Genesians (attend theater productions): a group of adults who like to attend theatrical productions in the Milwaukee area.  It is not a formal group; the members are whoever signs up to attend that particular production.  We try to see 4-5 shows a year.

Young At Heart is a ministry that comes together around food, fellowship, fabulous programming, and faith building devotions. Welcoming all who are 50+ and who are Young at Heart.
Wednesday, November 20 at noon, luncheon gathering and a presentation by David Drake, a Wisconsin troubadour and storyteller, entitled "Let There Be Light".
